The School’s BladeVault houses an HP BladeSystem c3000 directly in a working office as well as UPS, tape storage devices, 2 network disc arrays, a network switch and an additional rack-mount server.

When car rental giant Hertz was planning its superb new European HQ building, MIS Manager Michael R. Smith chose to deploy 12 x Kell model PSE38 enclosures, two sets of bayed PSE38s per floor over three floors, instead of building local datacomms rooms. Hertz equipped the enclosures for optical demux, and linked them by fibre to the ground floor data center. Up to 700 CAT6 cables then link each enclosure to all workstations located nearby.

Very tight for space in our office, I have two people working in the same room as our computer servers. The new Kell System cabinet has eliminated all high frequency server noise and all we can hear are the low frequency fans.
